Most people know eating plenty of fresh fruits and  is good for long term health, but unfortunately, not that many actually consume the recommended daily amount. Now scientists at the University of St Andrews in the UK are hoping to appeal to another motivator: vanity.

  • Strawberry:-

 material :-


One or two strawberries
A spoonful of chocolate or cocoa powder
A spoonful of honey

Method of use
Make a thick paste by mixing strawberries, chocolate powder and honey.
Apply this paste on the face.
After fifteen minutes wash the face with lukewarm water. 


How does it help?

 Strawberries help maintain the required level of moisture in our skin.

 

  • papaya :-

Some pieces of baked papaya
One or two teaspoons lemon juice

Method of use
Crush papaya pieces and add lemon juice to it.
Apply this paste well on the face.
After ten minutes wash the face with water.
You are advised to apply this paste once or twice a week.


How does it help?
 
Papaya contains vitamin A, vitamin C and papain. Both these vitamins act as antioxidants. Whereas the papain cleanses the pores on our skin and enhances the skin.

A ripe banana
Two to four tablespoons milk
A piece of ice


Method of use
Make a thick paste by mixing milk and banana.
Apply this paste on face and throat and leave it for fifteen minutes.
After this, wash the skin with water and rub it gently on it.

 
How does it help?
 
Bananas contain many nutrients like vitamins, proteins, minerals and potassium. All these nutrients help to keep our skin healthy.


  •  Apple :-

You should wholeheartedly believe in the saying "an apple a day keeps the doctor away". Apples are good for your skin as they have a BLT effect. Apples brighten and lighten your skin. They provide protection against tanning. The fruit acts effectively on your skin by doing away with the pathogens and excess oils.



  •  Kiwifruit :-

Kiwi is known to contain Omega- 3 fatty acids; these acids defend your skin from germs. They prevent you from horrible skin infections. However, the fruit prevents your skin from sagging. It is rich in Vitamin C, which again helps in producing collagen. Kiwi checks the levels of sebum excretion reducing the chances of having a sticky face.


  •  Orange :-

If you are tired of the blackheads on your skin, you have a home remedy to deal with it. Oranges are brilliant in extracting blackheads. Orange juice is also known to lighten one's skin tone. It reduces blemishes and treats acne. Consuming the fruit or its juice regularly can give you a radiant skin.
